  • 1 cup halal-certified marinara or pizza sauce (vegetarian)
  • 1½ cups halal-certified shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 slices halal beef or turkey pepperoni (such as Midamar or Zabiha Halal brand)
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set oven to 420°F (215°C).
  • Toast the Bread: Arrange garlic Texas toast on a non-stick or foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes, flipping halfway (2½ minutes per side) until lightly toasted.
  • Add Toppings: Remove from oven. Spoon a thin layer of sauce on each toast slice. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly, then top with halal pepperoni.
  • Broil to Perfection: Turn oven to broil. Return tray to oven and broil for up to 2 minutes — watch closely! Cheese should be melted and bubbly, with slightly crisped edges.
