Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (packed in oil, drained and chopped)

1 tsp chili flakes (optional)

1 tsp dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)

Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.

Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, chili flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

While the sauce simmers, cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and gently stir to coat well.

Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm.
Notes
You can substitute vegetable broth for chicken broth for a vegetarian version.
Add grilled chicken or mushrooms for extra protein or texture.
Fresh tortellini cooks faster and yields the best results for this dish.
