1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)

2 tbsp chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional)

1 cup whole milk

2 large eggs

¼ cup plain yogurt or sour cream

¼ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
Instructions

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. -
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. -
Add Cheese and Herbs:
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped chives or parsley. -
Combine Wet Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, yogurt (or sour cream), and oil (or melted butter). -
Bring It All Together:
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined don’t overmix. -
Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle a little extra cheese on top for a golden crust. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature!
