Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix (check ingredients to ensure no non-halal additives)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup crushed plain or onion-flavored halal-certified crackers or breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Make the Coating:
    In a bowl, mix sour cream, onion soup mix, garlic powder, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Coat the Chicken:
    Place chicken breasts in the baking dish. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over each piece.
  4. Add Crunch (Optional):
    Sprinkle crushed crackers or breadcrumbs on top. Drizzle lightly with olive oil or melted butter for extra crispness.
  5. Bake:
